Set on the beautiful west coast of Cozumel, Sunset Beach is indeed a wonderful place to cozy up in the sand and watch the sunset. In the hours leading up to the sunset, however, visitors can spend their day swimming, sailing, and sunning.
On the North West coast of Cozumel, Sunset Beach is situated just outside the heart of the island of Cozumel; it is 1.5 miles to the west-southwest of Cozumel. You may notice that beaches throughout Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean are usually fairly quiet, but Sunset Beach is the exception.
Sunset Beach is located off Rafael E. Melgar.
Set off by two docks that jet out into the sea, Sunset Beach features aquamarine waters with varying degrees of surf intensity. On shore, the sand is soft and white.
Unfortunately, public restrooms aren't available, which is something to consider if you're bringing the kids, or plan to spend all day outside.
You should remember that Sunset Beach's immediate surroundings are a bustling area, so plan accordingly.
Beachgoers will find Sunset Beach on the North West coast of Cozumel. It is near Cozumel Country Club, which is a quick cab ride away, and it is one of a few favorite destinations in the area.

If the active mood at Sunset Beach has you wanting more of the same, think about checking out Playa Mia, another destination with a good amount of excitement. It is located eight miles to the south-southwest. The Playa del Sol is a popular tourist attraction. You'll find beautiful scenery and plenty of things to do. If you're looking for a more secluded beach experience, Playa Uvas may be a good choice. You'll find it just a short distance away.
