Monthly Temperatures in Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean

Preparation is key when it comes to planning your vacation to the Mexican Caribbean.  Becoming familiar with the region's weather patterns will allow you decide not only when to visit, but what activities you can comfortably participate in while you are there. 

Knowing average temperatures will also help you to decide what clothing to pack.  For example, while daytime temperatures in January and February remain in the 80s, evenings can bring lows in the mid-60s.  If you are traveling to the Mexican Caribbean during these months, pack a sweater to keep you warm on cool nights.

Early morning is when the Mexican Caribbean experiences its lowest temperatures of the day - so get up early, watch the sun rise, and get in any exerting physical activities such as hiking or tennis before the sun begins beating down.  Early afternoon brings the hottest temperatures, ranging from 79 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.  This makes afternoons the perfect time to visit a nearby beach, or hang out by your hotel pool.
