The breakfast at El Sol is a pleasure. Mind-blowing helpings of fresh baked croissants, cheese pockets, cornbread gourmet and pecan rolls are on hand to be washed downed by hot drinks ranging from Mexican hot cocoa to freshly brewed coffee. Also available are fresh tropical juices of fruits like watermelon, mangoes and papayas. Cochinita Pibil, traditional pork dishes and Yucatan soup are also generously served at El Sol. The wine cellar contains an array of the exquisite wines of the European, South American Mexican and Californian origins. El Sol Restaurant serves Mexican and Caribbean cuisine. It is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Ambiance

The walls at the restaurant are decorated with original paintings that celebrate the feminine form set against the regional background. At dusk, El Sol is lit up by the glow of torches and candles.

Location

Not surprisingly, since El Sol Restaurant is located in the Playa del Carmen area, if it isn't open, or it's overcrowded, it is conveniently located to some other dining venues (as discussed below).
